The Fabric Whisperer

The Fabric Whisperer | CEO & Co-Founder, Data Crafters
CMA | FPAC | Certified Chief Data Officer (Carnegie Mellon) | Top 50 Data Analytics Professional (2023)
I spent over 15 years in FP&A, living inside Excel, building budget models, and managing planning cycles at companies like Momentive, KMG, and CMC Materials. I know what it feels like to spend three months on a budget cycle, wrestling with broken links, version control nightmares, and the constant question of whether the numbers are right.
When I founded Data Crafters, I brought that finance perspective into the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. We became a Microsoft Fabric Featured Partner, and I started leading the Houston Fabric User Group. But it was always the planning side that excited me most, because I knew firsthand how broken the process was for most mid-market companies.
When Microsoft announced Fabric Planning at FabCon 2026, I saw something I had been waiting for: a native planning capability built directly into the platform where the data already lives. No more duct-taping external tools to Power BI. No more uncertified custom visuals. No more paying for 200 licenses when only 50 people are actively planning.
That’s why I built Fabric Planning (the website). This is not a sales pitch. This is a knowledge hub for finance and data professionals who want to understand what Fabric Planning can actually do, where the gaps are, and how to get started. I’ve been in your shoes. I’m building this because it’s what I wish existed when I was evaluating tools from the other side of the table.
Use things. Love people. Worship the divine.
